What Causes Redness On The Skin Along With Vertigo?

Question: 2 weeks ago I noticed an irregular slightly raised red area on my left mid-trunk. 3 days later I awoke and experienced vertigo (about 4 am and reoccurred about 5 am). This dissipated by 11 am. I was also nauseous around 8 am. This was a Saturday. I experienced vertigo in the am again the following Tues and self-diagnosed BPPH. I had chickenpox as a child and have had the shingles vaccine. I wondered if the rash could have been shingles, mild, and the vertigo a result. I did have some mild sharp pain at the site of the rash. Now today I have had a feeling of dizziness much of the day. I checked symptom checker and thought kidney issues but don't have other kidney symptoms. Anemia?
Brief Answer:
Possibly shingles related
Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir.
I can certainly understand your concern.
I have worked through your query in detail.
The rash could possibly be shingles.
The vertigo following it may be related to rash.
BPPV is relatively a harmless condition and will subside on it's own.
Anemia is unlikely to cause such symptoms.
Meanwhile, I prescribe oral pills of Meclizine, one pill daily at bedtime for 2 weeks for effective control of symptoms.
Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe these pills to you.
Post your further questions if any.
Thank you
