What Causes Redness On Tip Of Penis?
Question: I'm having redness on tip of my penis that come and go almost every week . is it a vd ?
I had that problem for about 3 years , I know witch girl it came from and now that I know her background it's probably serious

I have gone through your query.Your problem is most likely Balanitis. Usually candida, a fungus is the causative agent.
As you had unprotected sex it can be from sexually transmitted infections also.So swab tests for Gonorrhea , chlamydia and herpes should be carried out.
You should also rule out diabetes by checking your sugar level and tests for HIV and Syphilis (VDRL).
Another cause which can be is due to irritants like the soap you use or detergent you use for clothes.So avoid soaps for washing penis and use XXXXXXX warm water or hypoallergic soaps like cetaphil.
If sexually transmitted infection are excluded and if you were my patient i treat with ointments which has a combination of corticosteroids like betamethasone antibiotic like neomycin and antifungal like clotrimazole.
