What Causes Regression Of Melanoma?
Question: I had a flat mole to disappear overnight about a week before I went to the dermatologist to see about it. I have read about regression of melanoma. Could that happen that quick? The dermatologist took it off and it came back benign but I am wondering that if it was complete regression if the pathologist read it as benign when it could have actually been melanoma going through complete spontaneous regression. Your thoughts?
Brief Answer:
Not melanoma
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query.
Melanoma cannot regress that fast.
It also cannot present in the form of a single asymptomatic lesion.
Some amount of pain, tenderness or other symptoms must be present along with that.
You don't need to worry.
Just relax.
Let me know if you develop any such lesions or have any other symptoms.
Wishing you a good health.
Thank you
