Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing to us.
You seems to be suffering from severe anxiety. This can be due to some physical causes like related to respiratory, circulatory or gastrointestinal system or may be just due to psychological factors like stress.
You are very young lady and it is better to get specific treatment soon.
You did not mention which doctors you have consulted and is there any specific diagnosis made or not about current condition. Also you did not mention report details, upload all the reports investigated for this condition. Prestique is an antidepressant which is also useful in headache. Who has prescribed it?(any psychiatrist?)
Please let me know all above details.
Your symptoms of headache are suggestive of migraine. Have you got treated for this?
In my opinion your eye sight, x-ray PNS and blood pressure should be checked to rule out some basic cause of headache.
Is there any social, economical, work/occupational, relationship stress in your life which are bothering you?
Waiting for your reply to help you further,
Regards,
Dr.Chintan Solanki
most of these symptoms i have had since early high school days, but never questioned them until they became more frequent, noticed them more, i have also worn glasses since 7yrs old
2006 or 2007 - i had what was put down to be a virus, became unwell by the next day was extremly dizzy fainted in the shower twice and split my chin open, for about five days didnt realy eat and could only stand up long enough to go to the bathroom, couldnt even sit up for more than a few minutes without extreme dizzness, only medical attention was chin stiched a told it was probally a virus to rest
2010- glandular fever, took me months to recover, jaudince, extreme fatigue and muscle aches
2012- start of year headaches became more severe, all day everyday, would wake with them and they would become worse throughout the day often keeping me home from work, after several weeks went to the drs over several months many tests, medications were trialed, blood tests, eye tests (switched to contacts as the pressure of glasses makes my headaches worse) ct scans, natropath, iridoligy, chiropratic, massage, beta blockers, changing contraceptive pill, stoping pill completly ( it was around this time that the headaches had taken an emotional toll on me therefore was prescribed sertraline, this made me feel worse emtionally so i stoped) eventually went to a specialist who put my headaches down to me not sleeping well (never have, take forever to fall asleep, dont stay asleep and never wake up refreshed) he prescribed me deptran this made a significant difference to my moods, sleep and headaches, it was needed to be increased around 8 months later
2013 deptran wasnt working well any more, (took a few months before i confirmed and went back to the dr) by this time i was not sleeping, headaches were creeping in more and more, also started to question my other symptoms around this time with dr nausea, dizziness, aches ect, i firmly beleive that these factors are what has and continues to lead to my depression as they drain me both physically and emtionally
this is why my gp prescribed me prestiq, it helped alot but not as much as deptran (i think ive ignored my symptoms so much because not only does it become frustrating, and costly i wanted to beleive there was nothing wrong or that each time i did try something new i just needed to give it more time to work)
throughout the last year i have had several bloodtests done trying to figure out my other symptoms ( i have tried several drs) they all tell me there is nothing they can find (often assume that i am pregnant, no never have been) all i get from them is drugs that temporarily mask the symptoms, stuff for dizzness, nausea ect)
at the end of last year is when i began having breathing difficulties, it started out feeling like i woke up with a cold, throughout the day i started to feel short of breath and by 6pm i was wheezing extremly and having difficulty talking, went to the drs and they gave me a fair bit of ventalin which helped just enough for them to allow me to go home (only because there was someone who would be home with me if i needed to go to the hospital, i had follow up appointments for the next few days, everyday i was put on the nebuliser, i was continually using ventalin at home even just laying down i was wheezing also wheezing during my sleep apparently, i had chest xrays, blood tests, ecg all came back clear therefore they put it down to asthma (never had a history of it) it took a week for the wheezing to stop about a month before i didnt have wheezing/ coughing fits, since the only thing that triggers and requires ventalin is when i have a cold or flu
over the last couple of months i have notice the prestiq not working as well as it used to therefore i went back to change them, i have just finished weaning off them and have had severe, headaches, nausea, dizzness the last couple of days accompanied by eye twicthing and ear fluttering/ringing, it will be another week before i start my new antidpressants, howevermy current dr (only seen him once) beleives that the headaches not sleeping ect are definalty a huge factor in my moods/depression, i just want some answers and dont know where else to turn
additonal * blood pressure has been checked usually normal but does flucuate both ways * no stresses that i beleive contribute * headaches usally require 2x 500, 30 panadine forte and nurofen, often it only gives enough relief to cope, still feels like a headach that requires nurofen, however i take these as little as possible because i know that they wont work/ cause rebound headaches if i take them too often * i also use valium when i have been having difficulty sleeping for days or have had an extreme headache for a couple of days
It is resistant migraine likely, need treatment for the same

Hello,
Thanks for detail and great information. Though little bit long I read your history carefully.
It seems that in very young age you suffered from major illness which has damaged your physical health. This might have led to nutritional deprivation.
Your main problem is headache. Headache can occur in depression and headache itself can cause depression. In your case I guess headache had caused the depression so specific treatment for headache is necessary.
There are thousands reasons of headache. In your case it seems migraine type headache and contributory factors are specs in young age and glandular fever. Because of headache you seem to be depressed and frustrated.
Improvement with deptran and also with prestique(though not persistent) is suggestive of it is likely migraine as they are used in treatment for the same.
Still many options are there to treat such headache. Tryptomer (amitryptiline), duloxetine and flupirtine maleate are some options to treat headache. You can discuss with your doctor about these.
Anti-anxiety medicine like etizolam or clonazepam is also useful if there are anxiety features.
Considering your history, you should also have multivitamins and proper nutritious diet rich in protein, vitamins and minerals.(Milk, eggs, vegetables, pulses-soyabean particularly )
Your wheezing problem seems to be asthma from your narration. If you feel breathlessness only when you have headache or some stress then only it is not asthma. If it is when you have flue or common cold, it is asthma.
Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to answer if more queries.

Dr.Chintan Solanki.
