What Causes Repeated Drop In Blood Hemoglobin Levels?

My father whose age is 66 is having repitive heamoglobin drop. 3 days back we had given him 2 PCV blood and seems like his heamoglobin dropped again today. We had admitted him to hospital where they had said there is some issue with bone marrow and they had given some medicines. They said given blood should last for 21 days bit it is not happening. We have done gastroscopy, endoscopy and intestine scan. There is no loss of blood. Stool test is also negative.
He may have low production or increased destruction.

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
Your father has repeated drop in hemoglobin. Moreover he has no any sign of bleeding. So there may be low production from bone marrow or increased destruction of rbcs. And it leads to repeated drop down of hemoglobin. He should search the cause of hemoglobin drop.
He should go for peripheral smear examination, bone marrow examination and ultrasound abdomen study. This will help you to find the exact cause of drop in hemoglobin. Then he should take treatment according to diagnosis.
Please go for testing and give me follow up with your reports. So that I can help you further.

I have gone through your question and reports. I can understand your concern.
Your reports of FISH for MDS is negative. It means he doesn't have myelodyplastic syndrome. Other report is culture and sensitivity report and it shows infection and antibiotic sensitivity.
IV linezolid is not likely to cause repeated drop in hemoglobin.
He has either low production or increased destruction of RBC.
Please send me reports of his complete blood count, peripheral smear examination and bone marrow examination. He should also go for ultrasound abdomen.
Give me follow up with this reports so we can reach to the diagnosis. Then he should take treatment accordingly.
