Detailed Answer:
Hi, welcome to our site. I am Dr Saumya Mittal, MD.
Read your query. That is a very significant question and i appreciate you writing to us. I will try my best to answer your query
First, I would like to point out that there seems to be some contradiction in your query. At one point you have said she is otherwise healthy, and in the issues you have mentioned many conditions including fibromyalgia. I would request complete details on this aspect since that may affect the answer.
Also, you have mentioned that all blood works are normal. I would like to know what are the blood works done so far. If possible, upload the reports. Besides, doing an x ray of the affected knee and the hip joint should be done and uploaded. This is important as you have mentioned that the pain is mainly in the bone, and not the more superficial soft tissues like muscles.
Besides, of course we would suggest testing Vitamin D and calcium levels. The deficiency of these can cause pain as well.
Fibromyalgia in it self is a very painful condition and the sufferer has pain all over the body and any part of the body, I am assuming that the pain you want to discuss is a new pain and was not present before. Also, did she have any trauma?
Inform the reports mentioned above/if any other so I can be of help further.
I have given you the answer to the maximum considering the information provided. The results of the tests could further enhance my answer to you. You can upload them on the site-
you can upload them with the query, or if you have a problem, send them to YYYY@YYYY with Sub: ATTN 'Dr. Saumya Mittal'. Once we receive the photos or diagnostic reports, my team will send reports / pictures to me.
Please do understand that some details could be extracted from a detailed history and examination.
Please feel free to ask a follow up query with requested details. I would be glad to help you. Looking forward to your return query with the details asked so that I can help you further.
(If the answer has helped you, please indicate this)
Best of luck.
