What Causes Retrograde Ejaculation While Treating BPH?
Question: hi,i am 60 yr old since last 6 months i am suffering from BPH , my urine flow test was normal and in ultrasound post residual reading was 33 cc. i was taking Urimax -D since than now doc has changed me to silofast -D 8mg since two days.i am diabetic but sugar is in control i take voglibose.2 plus Metformin 500 twice a day. for blood pressure i take Enblock 5mg once. for BPH Doc here suggested Tadalafil 5mg once which i did not start. i am suffering from retrograde ejeculation also pl guide me . XXXX

1.Side effect of BPH medications-Urimax D earlier and Silofast D now.
2.Diabetes.
3.ENBLOK 5mg.
But the above drugs should be continued so as to control BPH and BP.
RE can be treated in your case initially through medications.
I generally prescribe my patients with oral pills of DEPNOSIL PLUS 25mg(IMIPRAMINE) for 3 months. In.many cases this should be effective.
After one month, based in the response drug dose can be increased.Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe them to you.

TADALAFIL is mainly indicated to improve the erection of penis for a longer duration.
This can sometimes be prescribed by physicians in individuals with RE with Diabetes.
You can take this drug - TADALAFIL preferably.
The purpose of DEPNOSIL PLUS us to tighten the internal sphincter around bladder. and prevent the semen to enter into bladder.By this instead of Retrograde,
antegrade(forward flow is created).
As already said, you should continue SILIFAST D for the control of BPH symptoms.Control of BPH is more important than controlling RE.
DEPNOSIL PLUS is prescribed on interim basis to correct RE.
Surgical correction of RE may be offered while operating on BPH sometime in the future.
