What Causes Right Sided Abdominal Pain After Having Heavy Meal?

Question: Ate a healthy but larger meal for dinner and havent eaten today much. Pain (not excruciating) on right side and sometimes back. Worried about appendicitis.
Brief Answer:
Probably isnt appendicitis
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
Pain in appendicitis is located in lower right part of abdomen below belly button.
Also. it is associated with nausea and vomiting. Although, some atypical appendicitis symptoms may occur as well.
Pain in upper right abdomen radiating to back is more possible to be gallbladder issue or even pancreatitis, so if pain persist or progresses you should visit doctor and do ultrasound to rule these out. If pain is crampy then you can take spasmex and antiacid medicines. but if there is constant pain, fever or vomiting then dont take any medications and visit doctor.
Wish you good health.

Pain is not constant or horrible. No vomiting/fever, etc. It is kind of going away but still there and achy. It is definitely the lower right part of abdomen below belly button...its calmed down a bit but i still have a little achiness in my back and in that area. Do you think it sounds like appendicitis? This just gave me a scare!
Brief Answer:
hi
Detailed Answer:
It is hard to say but if pain is in lower right part then you should be cautious. In most cases it isn't something serious but it may indicate beginning of appendicitis or some gynecological issue. If pain persist for 8 more hours or progresses then you should see surgeon . If not, then you should just take easier food and rest.
