What Causes Right-sided Abdominal Pain And Swelling?
Question: What is the most likely cause of abdominal pain on the right side with swelling of the abdomen on that side and painful to the touch? I do not have an appendix so that is definitely eliminated. This is so painful and I am stymied as to the cause. I just moved to a new town and have not been here long enough to have found a doctor to go to. I don't feel like I can wait the two to three weeks for a new patient appointment as it is so painful. I did have an abnormal liver panel and was to have a repeat done, but again, due to a move have not been to a doctor for follow up. This is my major concern as the symptoms started five days ago and have not abated, in fact, are getting more painful and the right side of my abdomen is more swollen. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I read carefully your query and understood your concerns.
You are reporting to have right abdominal pain and this is indicative for:
- galbladder issues
- constipation
So at this situation i want to know if you have other symptoms like fever, vomit nausea, or constipation?
I recommend to do abdominal ultraaound and blood work.
Please go to ER to perform the exams.
