What Causes Right Sided Abdominal Pain?
Question: I have a dragging pain in the abdomen on the right side. I have had this before some years ago but it disappeared. I had ultrasound scans done and discovered an ovarian cyst. I do suffer badly from anxiety and depression and have been under severe stress recently.
Brief Answer:
Your problem needs evaluation.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
In my opinion there are three main possibilities for your symptoms-
1) Endometriosis
2) Ovarian cancer
3) IBS
Before making any diagnosis I want to ask you that you have other symptoms like loose motion, vomiting, vaginal bleeding etc.
In my opinion you should consult a gynaecologist and get your examination. You will also need investigation for C125 marker, pelvic ultrasonography, laparoscopy and CT scan of abdomen.
Please revert back to me with details of your symptoms and your reports.
Regards
Dr. Richa
