What Causes Right-sided Burning Lower Stomach Pain And Cough?
Needs more detailed history and clinical examination with investigations.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX! Good morning. I am Dr Shareef answering your query.
You have not mentioned if you get any fever or not, and if you got any urinary symptoms or vomitings. If I were your doctor, after a general clinical examination I would advise you for a urine routine and microscopic test followed by a culture sensitivity test if indicated, and routine blood tests like a CBC, Blood surgar, kidney function tests, a lipid profile, and liver function test. In addition, I would also advise you for an ultrasound of the whole abdomen. Further management would depend on the result of a clinical examination and reports of the investigations. Till then, I might advise you for an anti inflammatory along with a proton pump inhibitor for a symptomatic relief only, but not without a clinical examination.
In your age group, I could think of a renal pain with UTI (urinary tract infection), appendicitis being not very frequent (though should be excluded with proper clinical and investigational work up) in this age apart from the possibility of many other. However, a clinical examination is required before starting any kind of treatment which would relieve your pain and the examining doctor might find it difficult to diagnose without proper clinical findings.
Therefore I would suggest you to first get your self clinically assessed by your family physician before going for any medication.
I hope this information would help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor in further management of your problem. Please do not hesitate to ask in case of any further doubts.
Thanks for choosing health care magic to clear doubts on your health problems. I wish you an early recovery. Dr Shareef.
