What Causes Right-sided Chest Pain In A Patient Suffering From Hypertension?
Question: Hi, I have some chest pain on my right side, it's a little pressure, that been lasting for hours. My blood pressure is good, 134/88. I do have high blood pressure, I don't want to run to the VA hospital and stay there a night.
Brief Answer:
Needs evaluation
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking
I read your question and i understand your concern. Pain in chest with history of hypertension should always be ruled out for heart problem with an ecg no matter what. Although your case seems likely benign but still there is no harm in getting evaluated.
Once ecg comes clear other possibilities like gastric discomfort , acid reflux or costochondritis or musculoskeletal pain may be considered.
I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
