What Causes Right Sided Pain Under The Ribs?

Question: I have right sided pain under my ribs. It is uncomfortable and sore
Brief Answer:
Seems to be because of musculo skeletal pain.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for your query.
The soreness of lower ribs cage on right side seems to be because of musculo skeletal pain.
Other possibility could be visceral causes. You need proper clinical examination and investigations. Proper treatment depends upon clinical findings and investigation reports.
For sore ribs you can take Tylenol in prescribed dosage for symptomatic relief of the pain. Doing hot fomatation and applying muscle relaxant gel will be helpful.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care

I have been to ny doctor and he ( without examination) said it was probably muscular. I have had muscular pain but this is like something is stuck under my ribcage. I am concerned it may be my liver or gall bladder - what systoms should I see if that was the case?
Brief Answer:
Description below.
Detailed Answer:
Gallbladder pain usually starts in this area and can refer to the upper back and shoulder area. It can come/go or remain constant. Gallbladder problems can cause symptoms that include: Nausea and vomiting, Indigestion, Intolerance to fatty foods, Abdominal bloating.
If liver gets swollen, it can push your rib cage out a bit. It can also cause a dull ache and be uncomfortable when sleeping on your right side.
