Brief Answer:
Can be gastric or hepatobiliary in origin.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Thank you for asking your query on this forum.

I am Dr. Kumar and would be addressing your query.
Have gone through your details and I appreciate your concern.

Most likely the pain you are experiencing is an epigastric pain. Epigastric pain is pain that is localized to the region of the upper abdomen immediately below the ribs. It is a common symptom of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) or heartburn or gastritis. This pain can be felt in any of the quadrant of the upper abdomen.

However, as you are saying that its slightly on the right there is a possibility that liver or gall bladder is involved as they are found in this quadrant of the abdomen.

Initially, I would advise you to go for a test called ultra sonogram of abdomen. It's one of the baseline tests of Gastroenterology and would reflect any problem with abdomen.

Till test is done start taking a proton pump inhibitor like Rabeprazole 20 mg twice daily with antacids. If you feel better it's Gastritis and GERD otherwise its very likely that gall bladder or liver involvement is there.

Please follow up with reports.
Regards!
