Brief Answer:
This needs further investigation.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

1. This sudden loss of hearing may have been a Temporary Threshold Shift (TTS) as it recovered within a day. It may also be a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack).

2. If the hearing loss was documented with audiograms, kindly upload the graphs.

3. Further investigations will include repeat audiograms, impedance audiograms, an MRA (MR Angiography) and blood investigations. The blood tests should include at least a Hemogram, ESR, Blood Sugar, Urea and electrolytes, Thyroid Function Tests, Coagulogram, Homocysteine levels, VDRL, Rheumatoid Factor, HIV, Hepatitis panel, Lipid profile.

I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any more questions I will be available to answer them.

Regards.
