Hi
Welcome to Healthcaremagic
Greetings of the day
Dear Ms
Pregnancy is state of increased requirement of Iodine and thyroid hormone. Rise in TSH level indicates worsening of Hypothyroidism.
Hypothyroidism in pregnancy is associated with neonatal goitre (increase in size of thyroid of newborn )and decreased brain development of baby.
Increase in synthyroid dosage is definitely required. It will not harm the baby . It will be beneficial to baby.
Do get back to me if you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.

Hi Dr. Kaltari,
Thank you for your answer. I am not worried by the effect of the medication, I am worried about the time that has elapsed before my dosage increased.
Is there known risks to have a high TSH in the first six weeks of pregnancy?
Thank you

Detailed Answer:
Dear Ms XXXXXXX
There is no risk for development in fetus for time lag of 6 weeks. It does not lead to development delay in fetus. Uncorrected Hypothyroidism for long period of time (more than 10 weeks ) leads to increased risk of Neonatal goitre.
Rest be assured there is no cause for concern.
Wishing you happy and safe pregnancy.
