the cellulitis was affecting the left ear, where it was swollen twice its normal size and beet red with sores forming. it now feels like it moved to my scalp and I have scabs in my scalp. could this still be cellulitis or now shingles? I am not able to attach any photos of it.
Brief Answer:
unlikely herpes if no water filled lesions
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for query.
It is difficult to suggest without clear picture if lesions.
If the diagnosis of cellulitis is sure then you need not worry if cellulitis.
If it is resolving then it is due to cellulitis.
It may be unlikely to be due to herpes.
Herpes usually manifests in form of grouped water filled lesions .if there were no water filled lesions you need not worry.Herpes zoster presents along nerve distribution.
You can get back with clear photos and details
