Question: My groin area has a sticky substance in the space between the scrotum and leg and it has a pungent odor...it does not itch and is beginning to feel irritated.

1. It appears to be sebaceous gland infection - possibly bacterial.
2. It is still early stages.
3. You need to :
a. Wear loose fitting cotton clothing
b. Wash area with antibacterial or antiseptic soap gently
c. avoid touching the area frequently, so that further spread does not occur.
d. Minimize sweating at the location - avoid intense activity. Keep area dry.
e. If still not healing adequately, topical benzoyl peroxide will be helpful.
f. Have good hydration and take nutrition rich food to improve immunity.

4. Obese people are usually prone. If overweight, weight reduction needs to thought of in future.
