Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to Health care magic
I am Dr. DADAPEER K, an Ophthalmologist and I will be answering your question.
I reviewed your history.
It seems from the history that you are having flashes of light in right eye.
Flashes of light occurs because of problems involving the posterior segment of the eye including vitreous and retina.
The common causes are posterior vitreous detachment, peripheral retinal degenerations including retinal tear... Most of the times the causes are vitreous related degenerations and vitreous detachment, which may not require treatment and resolve spontaneously. However sudden onset of flashes of light require evaluation.
Sudden onset of flashes of light in people aged more than 60 years require evaluation to look for these problems. As timely diagnosis and treatment by laser will prevent complications.
Hence I advice you to consult your eye doctor for examination of the posterior segment of the eye by simple office tests like indirect ophthalmoscopy. This test will help to diagnose any of the retinal problems and timely treatment can be done to prevent complications.
Do get back to me after consulting your eye doctor.
Hope I have answered your question and the information is helpful to you.
