Question: I have got several tests done by a pathological service provider. Please go through the reports and provide the diagnostic details - Do I need any course corrections, any cause for alarm, any medications or other tests required? Please note that I am a chronic PCOS case and currently under Ayurvedic medication.

Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Jyothi BL and I will be answering your query.
Based on your query and attached reports, my opinion is as follows:
1. All the reports are normal, except serum lipase.
2. serum lipase elevation maybe due to acidity or gastritis. Otherwise, its not significant at present with normal lipid profile.
3. Continue the same diet and routine. Its good. No course correction or any alarm. No additional medications or test necessary.
Hope it helps.

Brief Answer:
Lipase, not related to PCOS
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking again.
Lipase levels are mildly raised. It is not related to PCOS.
Certain medications can raise lipase levels. However, cannot be sure about ayurvedic medicines, as limited information is present regarding their actions and adverse effects.
As the levels are mild, not to worry. The amylase levels are normal, so pancreas is not affected.
Yes, you have Vit D deficiency. Vit D deficiency can affect calcium metabolism. As the calcium levels are normal, it is possibly early stages. Take vit D supplements with adequate sun exposure to improve Vit D levels.
Tiredness and restlessness can be attributed to Vit D deficiency, or anxiety. As these are non-specific symptoms, even diet also needs to be looked into. Adequate hydration and nutritional diet should be helpful. Mild exercises can improve over all well-being too.
Hope it helps.

ok. & what about Vit B12?
Brief Answer:
Vit B12 is normal. Not to worry
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking again.
Vit B12 is a water soluble vitamin. It is within normal range. More vit B12 supplements would not improve it levels, as anything in excess, is excreted in urine.
Not to worry about Vit B12 at present.
Continue with other nutrients.
Hope it helps.
