Brief Answer:
infection has to be ruled out

Detailed Answer:
Hello madam,
I have read your case. It is very unusual to have sudden shortening or loosening. I would like to see your immediate post operative and latest x ray to comment on this thing. So much pain can also be due to infection. So I would suggest you to get Blood investigation like WBC, ESR and CRP also. This will tell us if there is any infection inside hip joint.

Till that time you get all these reports I would like to suggest following.

1. Avoid weight bearing on that side.
2. Take Brufen after discussing with your consultant

I am waiting for your x rays. Let me know if you want to ask any thing else. You can upload the images/reports on the right side of this query page by yourself. There is a feature for the same, please utilize it.

Thanks and take care.
