Question: At what point does nighttime stomach pain and vomiting in a nine year old necessitate a trip to the ER or 24 hour clinic? Symptoms presented quickly and pain seems to subside briefly after vomiting.

If you have PPI-like-Omeprazole-like Prilosec OTC,you can add a stat dose and wait for relief from vomiting.
When to shift ER?
If the comfort levels are disturbed for the child you can shift the child to ER doctor for further care.
