What Causes Severe Anal And Pelvic Pain While Having UTI?
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: hello. So I'm pretty sure i have a pretty bad UTI (yes I am going to my gyn on monday) but besides the usually pelvic pain that comes with a UTI I've also been having some "butt" pain. im not really sure how to word this without sounding awkward so bare with me.. it feels like a random kind of dull stabbing feeling in my anus that only last a few seconds, also sometimes hurts to sit down :( is this considered normal with a UTI? It's making me very nervous. Thank you in advance!
Brief Answer:
Possibility of the perianal abscess has to be ruled out...
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
With UTI it is unusual to get pain around the anal region and butts.
The pain that you have around anal region and butts with difficulty in a sitting could be mostly due to perianal cellulitis in a stage of in duration and needs to be confirmed.
Consult qualified General Surgeon for clinical examination He would be the best judge to pinpoint a diagnosis.
In the meanwhile, you can take antibiotic like Cefixime and Nitrofurantoin along with an anti-inflammatory drug like Diclofenac.
Ensure to drink more water.
Hope I have answered your query.
