Question : My daughter is high risk and has lost one baby at 6 months. Has one healthy birth and is now 5 months pregnant and experiencing deep back pain and just doesn't feel good. Should we be worried. She goes to a low income clinic and they aren't to concerned with her HBP.

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns today.

How did she lose her first baby at 6 months? Was it preterm labour? Since she has one heathy birth after that in my opinion she has no recurring serious concerns.

The deep back pain that she has can be due to
1 . relaxation of ligaments due to pregnancy hormone progesterone.

2. Premature uterine contractions. In this case she may feel increased vaginal discharge.
3. Vaginal infection- Since she has no vaginal discharge, fever etc this is not the reason for her back pain.

Give her Paracetamol 500mg Give some hot fomentation and massage to back. If this does not decrease the pain to some extent in 6 hours please consult Gynecologist to exclude the possibility premature uterine contractions.
