What Causes Severe Burning All Over The Body?

Question: 3 times in the past 3 months in the middle of the night I have awakened with a severe, firey, burning all over my body, literally from head to toe. It lasts for approx 1-2 minutes after I wake up. There doesn't seem to be any after effect, but it is very frighteneing, especially the first time, when I even urinated in my bed. I have never experienced anything like this before. I am 69, weigh 230, am in pretty good health. Only take BP meds but BP has never been over 170/85 as far as I know. I also take med for restless leg syndrome which started after a knee replacment 4 years ago. I have neuropathy in my feet/toes and am watching blood sugar very carefully but it is not high enough to consider me a diabetic. Any ideas?

Sometimes it causes urination in old age.
