Question: Hi, my granddaughter age 9 for last two days has been experiencing moderate to severe leg pain in her calves. It came on suddenly, and hurts when she tries to walk. We have given her childrens ibuprophen, she was diagnosed with infulenza B about 3days ago has had it for the last 5 days but no longer has fever a little cough left. She describes the leg pain as a hard cramp. Charley horse? Can a child be given supplements, magnesium calcium, potassium. She doesnt eat potatos often and will only eat a banana every now and then, Am I thinking correctly or what could it be. She is a little chunky, maybe 10 ibs over weight.

*Is there any observed weakness started in the legs?
*Any noted blood in stools, or dark colored stools?

What have you tried for the Influenza B infection and how is it right now?
Any other medications she is taking right now?
Has she got all her vaccinations done properly, on time?
