Question : My husband (73) had a dental procedure, came home saying he was very cold, he was visibly shivering and taking. He took along hot shower and felt somewhat better. He had something to eat and rested. His temperature was 102.2. how should I proceed?
Brief Answer:
Hope the dentist gave him an antibiotic course.
Detailed Answer:
Hi welcome to health care magic,
Hope the dentist gave him an antibiotic course.
One possibility is there already was an infected focus that surfaced after the procedure.
I also hope you have checked his blood sugar.
Please go back to the dentist and ask him if an antibiotic course is needed if not already given.
You can revert back.
Regards
