What Causes Severe Chills And Vomiting After Stop Drinking Alcohol?

I think I'm having Alcohol withdraw or maybe had poisoning or a combination. I was very nautious earlier today and it got worse as the day went on. Lots of hot flashes while I was with my client but then they went away when we stepped outside between appointments. (But it is 21 degrees here). The heat was on in the car and I ended up sweating and getting sick. But I only had Vitamin water during the 2 hours before. I took when I got home (that I was prescribed but never took before).... and I felt better. Now (4pm-8ish)I keep getting getting chills and then they go away. I have been drinking water and Pedialite slowly but I I still feel off. I do not have a fever but this is all giving me anxiety and hard to sleep even though I'm very tired. I tried to eat soup and I felt worse. Any suggestions? Something to eat?

Brief Answer:
I do not think it is alcohol withdrawal
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.
I read your query and understand your concerns.
From the available description I do not feel you have alcohol withdrawal as none of the symptoms mentioned over here occurs during alcohghol withdrawal. From the description there is more possibility of poisoning, such as food poisoning. The feeling of nausea, hot flushes, intolerance to heat, chills can occur in poisoning but almost never during alcohol withdrawal. I now have a temp of 99.5 (it was 98.8 before)
I think you need to take Tylenol
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
Thanks again for posting at HCM.
Change of temperature in range of 0.7 degree F in short time indicates possibility of food poisoning which we have discussed in last post.
In my view you need to take paracetamol as soon as possible so the fever is controlled. In addition take plenty of fluids irrespective of vomiting. Although as I suggested take the ondansetron before hand in the dose of 8 mg.
I hope this helps you further.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
