Question: I cough after meals especially cold things like milkshakes...but generally after I eat amything.

No burning at all...no heartburn or feeling of acid coming up.
some burping and belching, not excessive. The Omeprazole seems to relieve is a bit, the nasal drops and antibiotics did nothing...
I'd like a to try a more natural approach...I'm now trying Ayuvedic. I'm a yoga instructor and not comfortable with traditional medicine. Is there anyway I can get a diagnosis without doing an upper GI scopy? What other treatments can I use for reflux desease? How dangerous is Omeprazole on a continous basis? Is there a natural solution instead of Omeprazole?

1. Avoid hot and spicy food.
2. Avoid stress and tension.
3. Avoid large meals, instead take frequent small meals.
4. Quit smoking and Alcohol if you have these habits.
5. Keep 2-3 pillows under head in bed to prevent reflux.
6. Go for walking after meals.
7. Take proton pump inhibitor like pantoprazole or omeprazol.
Omeprazol is safe for long term use.
You can try above mentioned lifestyle modifications and if it is controlled then no need for omeprazol.
