Question: I aspirated a pill on thursday and have been coughing and have a chest rattle. Male, age 67. Pill coughed up after 20 minutes somewhat dissolved.

Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
Most commonly such an aspirated pill causes severe inflammatory reaction inside lungs which is bronchitis type and cause such coughing and wheezes.
I recommend in such case to take an antibiotic like Augmentin just to avoid any chances of aspiration pneumonia.
An anti allergic like Levocetrizine should help you in cough.
If your doctor finds severe spasm in the chest then he may also give you salbutamol inhaler for a short course.
