Question : I started getting horrible frequent yeast infections when I was on the nuvaring and then on lomedia 24 fe. Now I m not using anything but I'm very sensitive and keep getting yeast infections that come right back. Diflucan does not work anymore. I am 45. The itching and pain is constant . I took another diflucan and I'm using monistat 7 I'm on my third day but honestly I'm afraid it's not gonna do much. I had a bacterial infection about 2 months ago and that caused a yeast infection. Everything started when I started using these birth control. Pills. I did go to the gyro last week and said that because I had used some over the counter cream that might throw my result as negative for an infection. Maybe it did. I had used Tioconazole for 2 nights in a row but the itching really never went away and the discharge came back like a yeast infection.

Hello dear, I understand your health issue.
It is most probably due to oral pills which distorted your normal vaginal flora, take a note of the following -
- wear a cotton based underwear and change it daily
- put tablet monistat 200 mg inside your vagina daily at night for 6 nights
- wash perineal region with vWash liquid after bath
- use condom while having sex
- applying monistat ointment twice a day for 7 days or till itching persists will lead to early remission
- keep taking probiotics as before regularly
- get your and your partner's blood sugar levels checked
In case itching and swelling persists or worsens then visit your gynecologist for examination and repeat vaginal swab.
