What Causes Severe Headache After Sexual Intercourse In A 34 Year Old Man?

Question: hi doc,

I am male, 34 years old. I have been experiencing severe headaches immediately after sexual intercourse.
I have been taking naxadom 500(naproxen) for temporary relief. Does this require further investigation or in person consultation? Could this be anything serious?

High blood pressure can be the reason.

Thank you for the query.

Most likely such headache appears due to increase of the blood pressure or decrease of glucose level. Especially if its a throbbing pain.

It would be good to have it checked by your doctor. Before you will visit your doctor, please try to check your blood pressure during the day and after the intercorse.
