I NOTICED I AM TAKING MORE ZOFRAN AND HAVING TO LAY DOWN. I AM 5FT AND 139 LBS. BY BP IS GREAT 110/70. I AM ONLY ON AN ANTIDEPRESSANT AND SUPPLEMENTS: FISH OIL,MAGNESIUM, NIACIN, HYALURONIC ACID. I AM CONCERNED THAT MY RESTING HEART RATE IS ALWAYS OVER 100. ANY SUGGESTIONS? CONCERNS?

Brief Answer:
These are mostly postmenopausal symptoms and are normal variant

Detailed Answer:
Hi! Welcome to health care magic! Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. We will try to help you in best way possible. First of all, it is sad to know what you had been experiencing lately.

Based on the history you have shared, these all symptoms are part of postmenopausal symptoms and usually subside over time. If very agressive medical or hormonal replacement therapies are chosen these are associated with other side effects too.

The concerns about nausea and odensterone or zofran leading to light headedness is because of the drug itself. I would suggest you to continue taking supplements and also add supplements for calcium, bisphosphonates and D3 to avoid osteoporosis and continue taking supportive measures.

For the heart rate, get an EKG done and a complete blood count to look for hemoglobin levels and if both are normal simple beta blockers can be started after discussing with your primary doctor. Meanwhile continue antidepressants and keep a close liason with your psychiatrist.

Wishing you a speedy recovery. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Regards.
