What Causes Severe Itching And Burning In Groin Area Post Intercourse?

Question: Please help I have ruined myself for the past 1.5 months, Drinking, bad decisions, etc. I am a late 20s Male. I went unprotected with old female friend once on 12-25-15. around 1-6-16 I began feeling very strange in my crotch and buttocks area. feel tingling in the crotch, and burning feeling on buttocks and sometimes down back of legs. Still have no visible, suspect of HSV 2, that is what i am afraid of. On 1-16-16 I ran full panel std test, All negative except for IGG HSV 1 was out of range-positive, may have had that all along i don't know. Got retested on 2-6-16, Same results, only HSV 1 positive. recently the crotch feeling has subsided a bit throughout the day but the burning in the rear still remains to feel like "icy-hot" the crotch feeling is stronger if i get a cold chill, or if i cough and it feels almost like goosebumps. And within past week my belly started to ache and skin on belly began to become slightly irritated. Still no visible bumps or redness anywhere. Am i looking in the wrong direction? Dose this sound possible to have this feeling with no bumps for 1.5 months due to HSV? Please help, each day is nerve-wrecking for me. I need to understand this feeling. Should i get tested again? Could this be something else? Another STD like Trich? Back problem? Diabetes?

Welcome to HCM.
Thanks for posting your query.
There is every chance for your female friend remained STD/HIV free.
All your symptoms were due to your paranoid ideas and phobia against STDs and HIV.
You had your tests which revealed HSV 1 infection Ig G positive. Others were negative. Ig G antibodies indicate a older infection and not a recent one. Nearly
40-50% of poppulation would likely to have HSV 1 positive in any community. So you need not bother about the same. Pain and irritation over abdominal skin are not common in HSV infection or any other STDs.
But one thing I want to point out is that you had tested for STD by 3 weeks after your exposure. Most of these detects only the antibodies against these diseases only. Antibodies may take certain time to appear following any infection in the body and it could vary with different infections. Yo you may have to repeat these tests after 3 months to have a more conclusive results. ( Syphilis 4 weeks, HIV, Hepatitis 3 months).

What could these remaining skin feelings be? I do agree about the anxious paranoia to some extent, But i cant believe it has been this long JUST from a mental thought. I do not like this skin feeling, what possibly should i be going to the local doctor for? Would you have any possible suspects due to my Symptoms?

Most often the paranoid symptoms can not be acceptable as paranoid by anybody. Only the treating physician can find the exact reason.
