HI Doctor,
Thank you for answering my question. I am afraid I may have not explained the area which is dry and itchy. It is the area that the panty elastic runs between the legs and the perineal region. Do you still suggest I use the same perineal wash?
I use cotton panties and a good quality napkin.

Brief Answer:
simple precautions only
Detailed Answer:
Yes perineal wash is good for that area also because it keeps the area dry by decreasing or minimizing the discharge from vagina.
But in general you can try using pads without wings and continue using cotton underwears.
Apply talcom powder in that area during those days to absorb extra moisture.
Some people have sensitive skin so you need to take good care.
All the best
