Question: Hello I have has severe joint pain since I was diagnosed with hypothyroid by blood work from 12/3 to XXXXXXX 3rd I went from 138 to 126 then another weekb121 no one blinked and so i changed doc levothyroxone.075 after a month fatigue was better eat more now a perfect weight 126/130. Prob is the joint pain never went away and has gotten so bad like this morning I was up at 4am bc my feet hurt so bad day before throbbing knees and feet again so two days ago we discovered a major leaking in foundation and MOLD SONT KNOW HOW long previous hid the crack and nobody so I can't say how long or how much but my husband has has acute sinusitis and it done with antibiotics. So can mold make us feel this bad also with my blood work back in February 13 my thyro ab was >1300 I was not told ask about hashimotos bc I spoke with some who has it well maybe well whats that number?? She said it could be your body is not fighting off things like its suppose to meaning auto immune ok well can that cause this joint point and swelling bc rheumatologist said I don't have arthritis and there's nothing wrong... I need some help I just need an answer she even uggested fibromyalgia I don't believe in it and most treatment anti depressants and that's why she tried to do said no natural remedies so fish oil is great then call in a few weeks see if I'm better I've been dealing with 5 major joints hurting anyasvice?? Also I take lite in for almost a year now and I think she is using that as a factor fibromyalgia and she after two days does not work we try another son and so on...??last I knew thats bad for your mental status and I'm scared to mess with leverl of my lithium

Dear Madam,

Thank you for posting your query on HCM.

Well looking into your problem I would like to tell you that , arthritis whether it's there or not can be determined if you have swelling along with pain . Only pain in joints don't classify for arthritis they are arthralgias . So by history I think it's fibromyalgia but still I would like to see RF , Anti CCP antibodies , ANA report for ruling out arthritis . I don't think your joint pains can be because of mold so don't worry about that .

Take care.
