What Causes Severe Leg Cramps?
Question: I have leg cramps quite often while in bed. My hamstring or calf muscles knot up and I have to get up quickly to stretch out the muscle. It is very painful during the cramps. I have tried drinking more water, drinking gatoraide, but nothing seems to help. What would you suggest?
Brief Answer:
Get investigated.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have read your query.
In my opinion liptor is causing all this, you should consult your doctor who prescribe it.
Get serum sodium, potassium, calcium levels checked and send me the report.
As sometimes deranged electrolytes can causetake all that problem.
Also in addition you can take tab.aceclofenac100mg+thiocolchicoside4mg, cap.levocarnitine, by prescription of your treating doctor as this is not over the counter.
Its good that you are already taking a lot of liquid.
Avoid smoking and alcohol.
Avoid prolong standing.
I hope you got the point.
Thanks,
