What Causes Severe Menstrual Bleeding Along With Abdominal Cramps?

About hypothyroidism treatment:
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking!
I can understand your concern.
The most common cause of the high TSH level at your age is Hashimoto thyroiditis.
It is an autoimmune disease, very common at females.
The overproduction of some antibodies ( Anti-TPO and antiTG), that should be confirmed, destroy the thyroid gland and as a result it does not produce enough hormones. This is manifested with high TSH level.
At this point the hormone should be taken by mouth ( levothyroxine). The destroying autoimmune process is irreversible, so the destructed thyroid gland does not recuperate, that is why the hormone should be taken longlife.
There is no treatment to stop these antibodies, so the autoimmune process will persist and the dose of levothyroxine will be needed to get increased. For this reason the TSH is recommended to be monitored every 6 to 12 months during the life.
Hope i have cleared your queries.
Best wishes,
