What Causes Severe Muscle Weakness And Pain In Eyes?
For 2yrs i'm appearing with a new symptom every day and after numerous doctors, no one can figure out what's wrong with me, while agreeing that there definitely is. My labs are fine. Ana was a teeny bit above The range, but nothing they said it would warrant anything. I beg to differ. I'm a 6 foot, active, just turned 40-year-old, and my life has gone down the crapper. I have severe muscle tiredness. SEVERE pain 24/7 (and no they are not dry) behind my eyes which makes me want to squeeze them. And I have these strange little red dots that appear every so often on my hand, and now I'm nodule on my elbow. The six rheumatologist suggests early signs of some form of all three of us, but I'm not buying it. Because I have episodes where I feel great with my body, and then all of a sudden I'm out of commission for months.... When it's very humid outside, it seems worse. It almost feels like my whole entire body is one big inflammation inside and I need to jump into a nice pool.. Yet the blood results for inflammation was normal.. At any rate, I'm definitely ill, but with what, no one can seem to figure it out. Can someone kindly tell me what this new symptom is and what could possibly be going on with me? They do not hurt and they do not itch. They are just a nuisance. Just hard little nodules under the skin that I could feel?

Good evening
Thank you for writing on health care magic
I have gone through your history and the pictures. I would like to ask a few more details to be more sure about the diagnosis..
1. Do you experience any irritability or short tempered recently
2. Any history of forgetfulness??
3. Do you feel constant fatigue in the mornings when you wake up or you feel better with pain?
4. Have you been experiencing slowness in your work?
We do see a lot of patients with symptoms you are experiencing in day to day clinic. I understand you have been extensively worked up and the repeated tests have not come out positive, but the pain and fatigue you are experiencing is quite a nuisance which has slowed down your life and only you can experience it, most doctors and the people around will say it is all normal. This type of syndrome is called as Fibromyalgia( that is chronic pain all over but with normal blood tests ). I would like you to read through it and see if your symptoms match with it.
The skin rashes you have posted, look like urticarial ones. There is a bit of hives along with erythrema all around, which normally will come and go off.. I just want to know the duration they last for...IS it like few days or just for few hours..And try to figure out if there has been any environment change recently which is triggering these skin rashes??You need to take a bit higher dose of anti allergics to control it.
Do let me know these queries as it will help me better in understanding your problem

And yes..
1- Very short tempered & irritable.
2- yes. I forget all the time
3-When I woke, I feel as though I haven't slept.. Very fatigued & with some pain. Seems it get's better as the day goes on & worse when By end of day..
4-i wouldn't say slow.
The pain started in my neck about when I was 33.. Just lay pain, that would radiates down both of my arms. My arms wouldn't feel pain, but when I would wash my hair they would tire easy.. MRI showed a little stenosis, and some bulging desk's. Nothing was done. And I went on with my life... Then after I had my daughter at 37, about two years after that, it started going into my Sacral spine when I was driving.. So now we have the arms in a few years later we had the sacral... Then two months after that I caught something like the flu in which I never felt before... It was AFTER that, about two years ago now, that once this one away any muscle in my body.. I can only walk a half a block for it felt like my legs were going to get out... I feel as though I have to learn to walk again... That's when everything going. Nothing ever went back to normal... The pain is 24 seven that the only thing that helps is putting an ice pack on them!!!! It never goes away, not even for a brief moment... Then the little joint above my fingers, would get a little nodules on each side below my knuckle.... And when I'm in the heat, intensified with pain.. In the cold, my legs hurt so bad I can barely walk? Then I would get these three raised red dots and they will last for a few months... The nodule on my elbow appeared, and it's been there now for a little over a month with no sign of going away. It's mainly my eyes and my muscles.. And the strange thing is, when my hands or my feet hurt, the only thing that relieves the pain is to squeeze them really hard which everyone finds to be strange because you would think it would hurt but it's the opposite for me... Like squeezing to cut off the blood supply helps????? Like I said. The only thing that teeters is my ANA... But my joints don't physically hurt. It's my back, neck, and the muscles in my proximal limbs only.

Thanks for your reply
Well, the symptoms you are experiencing does go more in favor of a disease called Fibromyalgia. It is associated with muscles aches all over and that is a very characteristic sign of it: It gets better or you feel better on compression, something like a massage sorts. It is a very difficult disease and becomes a nuisance for the one suffering from it.
I will try to explain a bit the symptoms and the diagnosis the way I explain my patients here. Pain is a very complex sensation. As you know, when something touches your hand or your legs it sends signals to the brain which perceives it as a very painful or mildly painful stimulus and sends signals to the same point. When this cycles becomes a vicious circle, due to some trigger or a major stressful event it starts circulating pain all over.
Pain in the rest of body can be felt due to : Joints( which are not swollen for you), Nerve inflammation( which is felt differently and has accompanying tingling and numbness) and lastly muscles( which you have been tested and it is normal). When all these are fine, the pain sensation comes from the Pain center in the brain and the disturbance in it causes the disease called Fibromyalgia.
The management differs in this disease, but the backbone for the management is for the patient to be convinced they have this disease and nothing too serious as proven by the lab results. So, I would like you to read about in on www.rheumatology.org... and see if it fits in with you. Once you are convinced, treatment wont be so difficulty and you will eventually be back to your normal self.
Do let me know once you read about it. If this information can make a difference to your life, I had be glad
