What Causes Severe Nausea, Swallowing Difficulty And Sore Throat?

I need some more information before I can guide you ma'am, pls help
Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.
Thank you for writing to us.
I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. I have a few questions for you if you do not mind me asking, so I can better assess the situation and guide you accordingly ma'am. Please do take some time out to answer all of them:
+Have you experienced heartburn in the past?
+Did you overeat by any chance (before this presentation began)?
+Did you smoke or consume alcohol before this presentation began?
+Did you have a meal about 2-6 hours prior to the initiation of this presentation? If yes, what did it contain?
The sore throat could either be due to a prior pre-existing condition related to acid reflux or has occurred now due to the stomach acid reaching your throat with the food you have been throwing up, causing the aggravation of your throat.
I look forward to hearing from you in order to help and guide you.
Best wishes.

No did not overeat , felt kind of quesy so barely ate
Never smoked. But did have a glass of wine with Christmas dinner. Yes, I ate about 2-3 hours before. Steak, brussel sprouts and carrots. No one else got sick. My question mainly concerns how to treat this terrible sore throat now. It hurts to swallow and it is so irritated. I'm also still feeling quesy and scared of throwing up again.
GERD most probably the cause for your presentation
Detailed Answer:
Hello once again ma'am.
Thank you so much for that information.
I do believe the cause here is either simple acid reflux or a condition called gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), that has the following symptoms:
+Heartburn
+Regurgitation of food or drink into the mouth
+Dry cough
+Sore throat
+Sensation of something at the back of your throat
+Hoarseness of voice
+Difficulty swallowing
and a few others.
Not all symptoms need to be present to establish GERD to be the diagnosis, but in my opinion it is the most likely cause especially with the given information from your last response.
As you are concerned about the irritated throat and are scared of throwing up, these are my suggestions to help control your symptoms and your condition:
+Avoid smoking
+Avoid alcohol
+Avoid fried food
+Avoid fatty food
+Avoid oily food
+Avoid spicy food
+Avoid overeating
+Avoid long gaps between meals
+Have 5-6 smaller meals instead of 2-3 larger ones
+Drink plenty of fluids (Water preferably)
+Avoid carbonated drinks
+Avoid acidic fruits and food
+Take 1 tablet of lansoprazole 30 mg every morning
+Avoid strenuous exercise
I am sure you will start feeling better once you follow my advise religiously, and you will be able to avoid such recurrences in the future as well. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I would be more than happy to help you.
Best wishes.
