What Causes Severe Neck And Right Shoulder Pain?
Question: I am 53 years old female had CABG surgery on26 May2015 from then on have severe pain in my neck and right shoulder...it is very severe...did all tests dont know the causse...doctors say it might be trapezium muscle pain have been doing pysiotheraphy since 2 months but the pain is severe.... I am given Movon sr twice a day...my heart condition and all other parameters are normal...I am just too tired of pain....Please advise

Avoid bending forward, lifting weights, driving, using computer. Follow good posture and ergonomics. You can take pain killer muscle relaxant like Diclofenac and Thicolchicoside combination twice a day for relief from the muscle spasm, apply a gel of the similar medicine combination. Apply hot water bag to the region of pain for relief.
Eat healthy. Keep well hydrated. Avoid smoking or drinking alcohol.
You can get TENS therapy, Short wave diathermy which can work wonders. A local steroid injection to the area of pain and muscle spasm knot will also do great and give your relief for months. Kindly consult your Orthopaedic surgeon for proper diagnosis and treatment.
