What Causes Severe Pain After EMG/NVC Testing?

Pain occurs due to strong impulse.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have read your query.
I want to clear you the points regarding EMG/ NCV testing.
EMG/ NCV testing is done to diagnose nerve damage or destruction, to evaluate diseases of nerve or muscle.
The impulse may feel like an electric shock. You may feel some discomfort depending on how strong the impulse is. You should feel no pain once the test is finished.
Often, the nerve conduction test is followed by electromyography (EMG). In this test, needles are placed into a muscle and you are told to contract that muscle. This process can be uncomfortable during the test. You may have muscle soreness after the test at the site of the needles
Thais is the reason that you feel pain during/ after EMG/NCV testing.
I hope you have got your answer.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Please send me the report of nerve testing, only then I will be able to explain the cause of pain.
Otherwise there are many causes of nerve pain e.g diabetes, shingles, tumor, trauma, HIV,Vitamin B12 deficiency etc.
For many people, the cause of nerve pain cannot be identified even after extensive testing. This is called unexplained (idiopathic) nerve pain, or idiopathic neuropathy.
For perfect diagnosis to be made nerve testing report, physical examination report i.e neurological examination and certain investigations including fasting blood sugar levels, serum cholesterol, morning blood pressure levels.
You need treatment in the form of topical painkiller ointments, antidepressants, electrical stimulation i.e TENS (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation).
Do yoga daily, avoid smoking and alcohol.
I hope you have got your answer.
Thanks.
