What Causes Severe Pain And Burning In Genital Area?

Question: Hi,

I am suffering from urine problem related from last one year . I am 34 year old male . I am having burining sensation continous and also while passing urine i am having severe pain +burning as well. during ejaculation and urine passing i am finding that passage is blocked. Lot of medication tried but not getting any releif . Kindly suggest some thing. Uroflow is OK. PSA is OK ,Urine culture & KFT is also OK. Recently done semen culture and one bacteria found staphylococcus epidermidis. One doctor told due to stricture it is a problem, another is saying it is chronic prostiatis . I am requesting please help and suggest me some good test/medication.

Hi Sir.

I understand your concern.

Your symptoms point to chronic infection of your bladder and internal genital organs.It could most likely be a chronic cystitis and reflux urethritis.

Chronic prostatitis is bit unlikely at this moment.

I advise you to have CT scan of your renal system along with repeat urine culture obtained by suprapubic aspiration as it provides an accurate and sensitive results.

Urinary antibiotics can be then be started based on the results obtained.

My doctor suggested to go for Cystscopy and TRUS (some ultrasound). Will it be OK.
Can I ask my doctor to aslo do CT Scan of Renal System.

Righ now I am taking Linezolid 600mg once in a day and Ceftum 500mg with flotral 10mg but not getting any releif. should i continue.

Discontinue antibiotics

There is no use of continuing the antibiotics if they do not offer symptomatic cure.

Its advisable to stop them after consulting your treating physician
