What Causes Severe Pain Around The Hips?
Question: my question is related to a very excruciating pain in my right hip and surrounding areas. The doctors have ruled out hip surgery. I have tried pain pills, trigger point injections and muscle rubs. With no relief insight, I also tried an ultra sound. The muscles in my right hip is wasting away and the right side of my torso is changing. The right leg is getting shorter than my left leg. Do you have any suggestions after hearing the symptoms I have?

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thank you for posting!
I have gone through your query and I understand your concerns.
All your symptoms make me think that your suffer from tailbone arthritis. This disease affects coccyx and femural head articulation.
The pain caused by this arthritis radiates to hip and torso area.
To find the right diagnosis you need a physical examination by your orthopedist.
A hip X-ray and MRI( magnetic resonance imaging ) will help your orthopedist in determining the right diagnosis and treatment.
Non steroidal anti inflammatory medicines are recommended for the treatment of your condition.
Feel free to ask for any clarification.
All the best,
Dr. Behar.
