Posted on Tue, 17 Jan 2017
Question: Hi, I have had plantar fasciitis before and know the pain in my heel at that time BUT the pain I have now is in my arch with sharp pain and tingling/burning at times on the inside my ankle and arch. I have been doing a new exercise program for a year that includes a lot of leg work on your toes with your heels high. I also play a lot of tennis which is hard on my ankles...not sure if either have anything to do with it but pain is getting worse weekly. Any help would be appreciated

When can I expect an answer

Brief Answer:
Get investigated.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have read your query.

First of all avoid any type of exercise and tennis etc.

As these exercises will further increses your pain.

Every pain in foot is not due to plantar faciitis.

So exercise, hot packs alone does not help.

Many a times increase in uric acid and RA factor causes pain in foot or other joints.

Get serum RA factor, serum uric acid, ESR, CRP, fasting blood sugar level and send me the report.

Get Xray foot in Ap and Oblique and send me the report.

Apply hot packs.

Have cap. rabiprazole empty stomach, tab. aceclofenac100mg+ serratiopeptidase15mg thrice day, cap. pregabalin75mg+ methylcobalamine750mcg at night.

Take above medication for 7 days or till reports came.

I hope it helps.

Thanks,
