What Causes Severe Pain Below The Kneecap While Walking?

I have had an increasingly severe pain about 2 inches below my kneecap on the inside of my leg. It has been there for about 3 and a half weeks and has been getting worse. It is slightly warm to the touch and is very painful when I attempt to move my leg. I'm worried about blood clots. But what could this possibly be?
Not a blood clot. It's Infrapatellar bursitis
Detailed Answer:
Hi there.
Thanks for the query.
If the pain increases in walking or climbing stairs and straightening the knee against resistance, it's most possibly an inflammation of the bursa or tendon.
It's definitely not a blood clot. Not to worry at all.
Commonly Infrapatellar bursitis can present with the similar complaints as yours.
Apply ice 4 times a day. Take Tablet Ibuprofen 400mg twice a day for 5 days after meals and Tablet Rabeprazole twice a day for 5 days before meals. Avoid kneeling, strenuous stair climbing.
You should be fine in 5 days.
I hope I have answered your query.
I will be available to answer your follow up queries.

The pain gets worse when I attempt to bend my knee even lift my leg off to the side. If I keep my leg completely straight, its not too severe. It also occasionally gets to the point where I can barely put any weight on that leg.
I have also been using ibuprofen and Ice packs, as well as wearing an adjustable knee brace. So far it hasn't gotten any better. Is this normal for bursitis?
Any trauma?
Detailed Answer:
Have you sustained any trauma to that knee?
It would be wise to get an ultrasound scan of the localised swelling, if any. Keep the limb elevated.
