What Causes Severe Pain In Legs?

The pain can be due to lymphangitis
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Lymph nodes in the groin are enlarged due to spread of infection from the lower limb or its drainage area.
A small Injury in the leg can lead to enlarged lymphnodes.
As your groin lymphnodes were enlarged , some type of infection or inflammation might have been present in the leg.
If the course of antibiotics is not sufficient, pain along the course of lymphatics in the leg and thigh would be present.
I normally prescribe another course of antibiotics like Clindamycin capsule along with Cefuroxime tablet and anti inflammatory tablets to my patients with similar complaints.
To exclude Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD), Color Doppler has to be taken first. Based on this report, further investigations can be done.
It could be pinched sciatic nerve. But, my first suspicion is Lymphangitis. (swelling and inflammation of the Lymph Nodes).
Please consult your doctor and get checked.
If you have any queries, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
