What Causes Severe Pain In Right Shoulder?

Frozen shoulder, Slip disc, Rotator cuff tear
Detailed Answer:
Hi there.
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
Thanks for the query.
Have you sustained any trauma to the shoulder?
Do you have pain in the back of the neck that radiates to the shoulder or arm ?
Usually shoulder pain that occurs spontaneously could be Shoulder arthritis, Rotator cuff tear, Frozen shoulder, Degenerative cervical spine with slip disc.
If you have radiating pain from the back of the neck to the shoulder is am, it could be slip disc compressing the nerves. If you have weakness and pain on lifting the arm to the side, it could be Rotator cuff tear. If all the movements of the shoulder are painful or could be Frozen shoulder.
I would advise you to apply a hot pack over the painful regions. Avoid lifting the shoulder overhead. Take pain killer like Tablet Ibuprofen 400mg twice a day for 5 days over a meal. Keep the limb elevated over a pillow while sleeping.
Get an Xray of the shoulder and also get tested for Diabetes. Get an Ultrasound of the shoulder as well.
