What Causes Severe Pain In Specified Regions Of Body?

Question: Parts of my skin arms (but not wrist and hands) are excruciating painful if i touch them. My torso and face are fine. My shins and tops of my thighs are OK, but the sides of my thighs and lower legs are agony if I stroke them. Only the tops of my feet and ankles really hurt. Sitting still is painless, it is touching that hurts, like a combination of burning and needle jabs. I get frequent sudden sharp jabs in my upper legs and buttocks. I have had the shingles shot, and this just suddenly came on a few days ago, altho' I did have it frequently a year ago and it vanished as suddenly as it came on. No rash at all and no chronic conditions. I am 64 years old and in general good health e.g. no diabetes.
