Question: yes hopfully I am in great pain every day all day, 84 years old ,started just after xmasi am using patches also the solution4 times a day,i cen no longer stand the pain. I am told that I can see a consultantent November
all the drugs I am taking are worthless

Detailed Answer:
First, I am not certain of the question BUT
in general with pain the first part is diagnosis. If there is nerve damage (not being able to go to the bathroom) then studies to see if the spine is literally broken need to be done very soon. Then if there is a very bad condition such as cancer, not getting enough blood to an area with gangrene, broken spine, etc. generally an operation or other major intervention is needed.

This seems like a very large amount of narcotics but with a condition such as cancer it would be quite reasonable. In other conditions, not so much and one can get used to the narcotics and they decrease on how much they can work. Frankly sometimes stopping everything and having withdrawal might be needed to reset sensitivity to narcotics.

These are general statements and I am not sure what conditions you have nor really what the exact question might be.
